Lecturing and training

I am programme director of the Conservation of the Historic Environment programme at the School of Real Estate and Planning, University of Reading. This programme offers an MSc after two years part-time study. I have been responsible for running this programme since 2001, and it is one of the principal courses in this area of study. I run a heritage module for undergraduate surveying students as well.

I have lectured on heritage values and significance, sustainability, Localism Act 2011, the National Planning Policy Framework, lobbying on heritage issues and other topics. I am course director for some short courses at the University of Oxford, as part of the historic environment programme at teh Department for Continuing Education.
